Standing Vinyasa Flow
Have trouble getting up and down from the floor but want more than “seated yoga”? Emphasis is placed on breathwork, strengthening, flexibility and BALANCE through graceful standing movements. Cues will be offered to refine poses, enhancing stability. Flow through classic yoga sequences utilizing Warrior positions. Props such as walls, chairs, and straps are utilized to offer modifications and support allowing poses to be explored safely and securely. Each class ends with a relaxation period and an inspirational quote.
Yoga For Healthy Aging
Gentle and gently challenging postures allow the body to age with integrity. Focus on stretching, increased mobility and range of motion. Attention is placed on improving steadiness and overall well-being. The last segment of the class consists of a guided meditation.
Chair Yoga
Complete yoga poses either seated in a chair or standing utilizing one or multiple chairs for support. Just about any standard yoga pose can be safely modified for chair yoga and the resulting benefits include increased flexibility, balance and body awareness.
